Artista versatile, nel suo percorso Daniele Silvestri ha spaziato tra scrittura, teatro, musical e cinema. La sua cifra stilistica coniuga la ricerca di una nuova canzone d’autore con il riscontro del grande pubblico, mescolando talento e tradizione, leggerezza espressiva e impegno civile, come testimoniano canzoni quali “Cohiba”, “Il Mio Nemico” e “La Mia Casa” al fianco di “Le Cose che Abbiamo in Comune”, “Salirò” e “Quali Alibi”. Le sue partecipazioni a festival popolari hanno sempre lasciato un segno, grazie alla singolare impronta che le contraddistingue: mai sopra le righe, ma sempre sorprendenti.
I tantissimi riconoscimenti ricevuti (Premio Tenco, David di Donatello, Recanati, Amnesty Italia, Grinzane-Cavour, Carosone per citarne alcuni) costituiscono un’ulteriore conferma della sua tensione verso l’altro, dello sguardo, della parola e dell’azione sempre vigili sul presente, solidali, lucidi, generosi. Nascono così i numerosi progetti costruiti con e per Onlus anche molto diverse tra loro: Movimondo in Mozambico, Agende Rosse, CUAMM, Every Child is my Child tra le altre.
I suoi testi sono spesso acrobazie linguistiche balzate fuori dagli otto album in studio: un gioco e un talento che ne fanno uno dei cantautori italiani più studiati dal punto di vista letterario.

His participation in popular festivals have always left a mark, thanks to the unique imprint that distinguishes them: never o.t.t., yet always surprising.
