Mirko Mancini, in arte Mirkoeilcane, nasce il 6 maggio 1986 ed è un cantautore romano. Negli anni lavora come chitarrista in studio e suona dal vivo con diversi artisti. Compone svariate colonne sonore come quella della web serie “Forse sono io”, dei corti “Memories”, “Il Lato Oscuro”, “Quattro Battiti” e del film “I Peggiori”. Impegnato nella scrittura di testi e musica per altri artisti, nel 2016 decide di avviare una carriera musicale da solista, che viene consacrata dall’uscita del suo primo disco omonimo nel mese di gennaio.
Nello stesso anno, Mirkoeilcane vince il Premio Bindi, il Premio Incanto, miglior testo e migliore interpretazione di cover al Premio Musica Controcorrente e il suo album figura tra le cinquanta opere prime candidate al Premio Tenco. Le tematiche sociali e i rapporti affettivi, sono spesso al centro delle sue canzoni. È il vincitore dell’edizione 2017 di Musicultura. Nel 2018 partecipa alla 68° edizione del Festival di Sanremo, nella categoria Nuove Proposte, aggiudicandosi il secondo posto, esce anche il suo disco “Secondo Me”. Sul palco dell’Ariston Mirkoeilcane incanta e convince, ricevendo il Premio “Sergio Bardotti” per il miglior testo, il Premio della critica “Mia Martini”, il Premio “Enzo Iannacci” di Nuovoimaie e la Targa Pmi (Produttori Musicali Indipendenti).
Mirko Mancini, aka Mirkoeilcane, was born on 6th May 1986 and is a Roman singer-songwriter. Over the years he works as a guitarist in studio and plays live with several artists. He composes several soundtracks such as the web series “Forse Sono Io”, the short films “Memories”, “Il Lato Oscuro”, “Quattro Battiti” and the movie “I Peggiori”. Active in writing words and music for other artists, in 2016 he decided to start a soloist career, which was consecrated by the release of his first self-titled album in January.
In the same year, Mirkoeilcane wins the Bindi Prize, the Incanto Award, best lyrics and best cover interpretation for the Musica Controcorrente Award and his album is among the first fifty works to be nominated for the Tenco Prize. Social issues and emotional relationships are often at the centre of his songs. He is the winner of the 2017 edition of Musicultura. In 2018 participates in the 68th edition of the Festival di Sanremo, in the New Proposals category, winning the second prize. He also releases his album “Secondo me”. On the stage of the Ariston, Mirkoeilcane enchants and convinces, receiving the “Sergio Bardotti” Award for the best lyrics, the “Mia Martini” Critics Award, the “Enzo Iannacci” Award by Nuovoimaie and the Targa Pmi (Independent Music Producers).
