È stata la prima artista italiana a calcare il palco dello Stadio Olimpico di Roma, l’unica italiana a partecipare in Etiopia alle celebrazioni dell’anniversario della scomparsa di Bob Marley, si è esibita come headliner a Central Park, ha fondato una sua etichetta – la Narciso-, si è ispirata a Verga e alla mitologia, ha portato nelle sue canzoni anche l’arabo e il francese, è stata la prima donna nella lunga storia del Club Tenco a vincere la Targa Tenco come Miglior Album dell’anno con Elettra (2010) per poi ricevere nuovamente il prestigioso riconoscimento nel 2023 con l’album Volevo fare la rockstar; è stata anche la prima donna investita del ruolo di Maestro Concertatore per il Concertone della Notte della Taranta, è stata nominata Goodwill Ambassador dell’Unicef e Ambasciatrice del Telefono Rosa; è l’unica artista ad aver vinto due volte il Premio Amnesty International Italia con Mio zio (2010) e L’uomo Nero (2022): la carriera di Carmen Consoli è costellata di primati.

La sua discografia è stata celebrata da critica e pubblico, così come tutta la sua sorprendente e ricca attività live che tra teatri, arene e palasport l’ha vista trionfare con formazioni sempre diverse e con vesti musicali sempre nuove, tra acustica ed elettronica, tra sperimentazione e richiami costanti alla Sicilia.
Tantissime le star internazionali che ne apprezzano la musica, da David Byrne che l’ha scelta per il Meltdown Festival nel 2015, a Robert Plant con cui ha condiviso il palco del Lucca Summer Festival 2022, da Peter Gabriel che l’ha voluta al Womad Festival del 2023, fino ad Elvis Costello con il quale ha condiviso una memorabile tournée ad agosto 2023.
Da sempre promotrice della cultura e della tradizione della sua terra, Carmen nel 2023 ha dato vita alla prima Orchestra Popolare Siciliana con lo straordinario evento “Terra ca nun senti”, da cui è stato tratto il disco live omonimo, presentato al pubblico internazionale a Londra il 7 febbraio 2025.
Il 3 ottobre 2025 esce l’album Amuri Luci, la prima tappa di un progetto sulle sue ‘tre anime’. Amuri Luci è un lavoro sull’identità e la coscienza collettive, tra storia, miti e leggende. In siciliano, ma anche in greco antico e in latino.

Long committed to promoting the culture and traditions of her homeland, in 2023 Carmen founded the first Orchestra Popolare Siciliana with the extraordinary event Terra ca nun senti, which led to the live album of the same name, presented to an international audience in London on February 7, 2025.
On October 3, 2025, she released the album Amuri Luci, the first chapter of a project exploring her “three souls.” Amuri Luci is a work on identity and collective consciousness, drawing from history, myths, and legends — sung in Sicilian, but also in Ancient Greek and Latin.
